Brimsham Green School | Socket. Jungle Bells is a collaboration between Socket and sixth form IT pupils from Brimsham Green School, Yate, nr. Bristol.
Our Electric December slot is 2AM - that's 2AM Internal, as a big up to the mighty KLF's 3AM Eternal. Jungle Bells is also a nod to Conrads' Heart Of Darkness - the Jungle represents primal nature, the point furthest from the order and safety of civilisation. Yet the cities of the world harbour ways far more savage than anything found in the Natural World.
The jungulator is a revolutionary computer program authored by iconoclastic genie-ass Matthew Olden, who is tipped to become a key sociological phenomenon of the age.
Think of Jungle Bells as a self-generative audio-visual festive broth which tastes of its makers' idea of Christmas. The ingredients are the found audio-visual fragments and interviews with local people, simmering in a constantly evolving recipe, always live, always fresh, always different.
