Electric December 2006 Testing

This page is designed to allow you to test your present and see what it will eventually look like when it is inserted into the Electric December 2006 pop-up window.

How to use it

  1. First, upload your present and associated files to your own server. This can be any web space that is handy. The location is temporary and is not important at this stage. Remember to make a note of the location. eg. /mytestarea/present.swf
  2. Enter the URL of the file you just uploaded. eg. http://www.mysite.com/mytestarea/present.swf. This should be a full absolute URL beginning with http://.
  3. Select the appropriate media type from the pop-up menu. If your media type is not listed then please contact Electric December.
  4. Click the Test Present button to open the pop-up window.

Notes

  1. If the present file you are testing does not appear in the window, check that the URL works when displayed in a normal browser window.
  2. When your present is deployed in the final Electric December project, the file you have listed in your entry point URL will be renamed and the location will be changed. You should ensure that any links back to the original media function correctly, regardless of the name and location of the original entry point.
