Electric December 2012 Inspiration Day Films

Young filmmakers of the future were at Watershed at the beginning of March for a workshop designed to get them inspired to create short films for Electric December.

The Electric December Inspiration Day gave schools the opportunity to make a short film in a day on a low budget, and included sessions on all the essentials: storyboarding, camera and editing training, and live pitching. All the school groups were given the same same script to work with and through the direction, cinematography, props and costumes made a short film in one of four genres - sci-fi, slapstick, western or noir.

Writer and director Conor McCormack was joined by writer Matt Haynes to run the activities, along with Watershed staff and a team of fantastic volunteers from UWE and Filton College.
